If you were to write which would you prefer poetry or short stories?
depending on how short short stories are! That's what I usually write.
I would rather do short stories. Most of my writing I've done for school (which included both short stories and poems), but I had also made my own short stories outside of school as well. I haven't written anything since high school, but yeah, I feel like I'm better at thinking of and writing short stories than the poetry.
I just like reading poetry, not writing it. So, it's short stories for me.
same here! the longest thing I've written is 9000 words but 14 chapters. even if it's short, I get all I want to say done in 4-600 words., but that's just me! I can't write 1K+ word chapters, I just don't have the patience too. but I still like what I write. even if it's short.
for me it would be poetry, it comes out easier that way. To write storries is another thing altogether.
i love reading poetry, and love writing poetry. it's just so amazing all the diffrent ways you can write it to express feelings...

I love reading short stories and poetry, but if i was to write, it would chose to write short stories because its easier for me to say want i want in a short story. I also write poetry, but i'm just average at that, i'm still in the process of learning it's different styles. Short stories are easier for me to write. For me, it just comes naturally. i love writing.
